YOU can't be Wiccan accidentally. You can have beliefs like a Wiccan before you ever hear of it, but
you can't be a Wiccan and not know it.
You also aren't Wiccan just because you've read a book.
A Wiccan is someone who has studied enough to know they want to become a Wiccan, and has a baseline of knowledge.
This person should also have has a dedication ritual (a rite by which you dedicate yourself or someone esle dedicates you to your gods and Wiccan practice) or an initiation (a rite of membership into a group.)
There are no "self-initiations" that is a misnomer.. the term for such rites is a "dedication."
Dedication is generally much more important than initiation. SIMPLY CLOSE THIS WINDOW TO CONTINUE
